The petitioners want new accommodation development halted in sensitive zones, a 2024 presidential exemption from the reserve's moratorium declared unconstitutional, and an audit of every facility operating in the Low Use Zone and the Mara River Ecological Zone.

2️⃣ MIGRATION SEASON IS SOLID — AND QUIETLY SHIFTING
The season has opened well. Private Safaris' Bainito Musumba puts most Mara properties above 75% occupancy with excellent sightings; Hemingways Travel's Joseph Kithitu calls bookings "more measured" — earlier, more price-conscious (per Tourism Update, 15 July). Expert Africa's Richard Trillo says informed travellers increasingly choose Naboisho, Olare Motorogi and Mara North over the reserve itself.
