1️⃣ Ghana tightened Ebola screening at Accra airport on 21 October, citing direct flights with Kenya
Ghana's Health Ministry announced enhanced screening at entry points, monitoring of travellers from affected areas, staff sensitisation and drills at Accra airport and the Infectious Disease Centre. It cited "direct flights between the two countries". No ban or effective date is stated (Ministry statement 21 Oct, via Kenyans.co.ke, 22 Oct 07:36 EAT; statement itself not seen).
Our inference: this is screening, not refusal, unlike El Salvador, but it invites copycat rules.
🎯 So what: if you hold Ghana or Nigeria bookings, send guests the arrival-screening note now and offer date changes before refunds.

2️⃣ WHO's latest situation report shows DRC's Ebola outbreak still rising, at 9,637 confirmed cases by 19 October
Confirmed cases rose 10.4% to 1,466 in the 21 days to 19 October against the prior 21 days; deaths rose 7.5% to 692. The DRC total is 9,637 cases and 4,646 deaths across 8 of 26 provinces. It lists Kenya at nine cases including one death (not independently confirmed by us) (WHO situation report, via Xinhua/New Vision, 22 Oct).
Our inference: the source outbreak is not shrinking, so source-market caution will outlast Kenya's own cluster.
🎯 So what: do not plan a recovery pitch before December; price flexible rebooking, not discounts.

3️⃣ Ebola is adding cost and delay to the Northern Corridor, already strained by insecurity and peak-season imports
The EastAfrican reports four pressures at once: the outbreak, attacks on trucks in eastern DRC and South Sudan, seasonal import volume and Ebola-related border measures, raising transport costs, delays and extra charges. No figures given (The EastAfrican, 22 Oct; article body not fully read).
Our inference: the corridor feeds Kampala and Kigali hotel supply chains; expect dearer imported fit-out, linen and food.
🎯 So what: place imported orders for Q4 now and ask suppliers for landed-cost quotes in writing.
