A Finance Ministry notice, published by TATO on 26 Sep, starts GN No. 256 on 1 Oct. Mainland arrivals buy from NIC, Zanzibar arrivals from ZIC: US$44 (~TZS 116,000), 92 days, multiple entry. No cover, no entry (Clyde & Co, 16 Sep). The selling insurer handles any claim.

What everyone is missing. It routes by entry point, not itinerary. It doesn't say whether a Kilimanjaro arrival heading on to Zanzibar also owes Zanzibar's own US$44. Clyde & Co read the exemption as EAC/SADC residents; press say citizens. That decides what Nairobi expats pay for a Serengeti weekend.
